Telemedicine Information

From the Comfort of Your Home

We are pleased to offer you the option to see one of our providers from the comfort of your home over a virtual video visit. Simply request a telemedicine visit when you call to book your appointment, and our system will text you easy instructions to download the Chiron Health app on your smartphone (iOS and Android devices supported).

 

Please remember to open the app to check-in 15 minutes prior to your appointment time, as there will be some basic registration questions. Please have the patient's current weight and temperature available.


Is Telemedicine Right for You?

We can accept established patients for most concerns. Well visits (preventive check-ups) require an in-person exam and cannot be done over telemedicine. In some cases, the provider may ask you to follow-up in person following your telemedicine visit.

 

At the provider’s discretion, we can order prescriptions and refills electronically at your desired pharmacy.

 

Insurance & Billing

As a result of recent news related to COVID-19, most insurance companies are covering telemedicine services, subject to applicable copays and deductibles. This means that your financial responsibility would be no different than that of an in-person visit. Call the number on the back of your insurance card for a full explanation of covered services.

 

When completing check-in, the Chiron Health app will require you to enter credit card details, but you won’t be charged unless your insurance has a copay or deductible. You may also be charged our self-pay fee of $65 if your insurance doesn’t cover telemedicine services.
